Two layovers, three hours through security, four countries, and five hours of sleep later, we made it. We saw the beautiful night lights of Toronto, Canada, saw the streets of London, but its nothing like Ireland. The Dublin airport greeted us with the 250 faces of Ireland, by artist Kevin Abosch, which represents the citizens of Ireland. Each picture is posed the same, framed the same, and has the same dimensions, whether it’s the Taoiseach or a young girl. The idea behind the project is to show that no matter who you are ranking doesn’t matter. They are each equally Irish no matter their status, race or profession. Especially because of Irelands diverse demographics since approximately 55,900 people immigrated into Ireland and 89,000 emigrated out of Ireland in 2013. Its placement is also very appropriate as an introduction and welcome from the people of Ireland. Kevin Abosch is a wonderful and famous photographer who has photographed many famous people such as Johnny Depp, Yoko Ono, and Angelina Jolie. His work has also been in many famous magazines and museums.
